The law of the Ukraine "about the copyright and
the adjacent rights" (further law) guards the personal
neimushchestvennye rights and the property rights of the authors and
their lawful successors, connected with creation and use of works of
science, literature and skill - copyright, and the right of executors,
producers of phonograms and videograms and organizations of
broadcasting - adjacent rights.
Objects of the copyright
According to the article 8 p. 1 of law: The objects of copyright are works in the region of science,
literature and skill, namely:
the literary written works of fiction, publicistic,
scientific, technical or other nature (book, pamphlet, article also);
appearance, lecture, saying, sermon and other oral
works;
computer programs;
the data base;
musical works with the text and without the text;
dramatic, musical- dramatic works, pantomime,
choreographic and other works, created for the stage demonstration,
and their setting;
audiovisual works;
the work of depictive skill;
the work of architecture, town building and landscaping
skill;
photographic works, including of works, executed by the
methods, similar to photograph;
the work of everyday skill, including of work of
decorative textile, ceramics, thread, casting, from the artistic
glass, jewelry articles so, if they are not guarded by the laws of the
Ukraine about the lawful protection of the objects of industrial
property;
illustration, map, plans, drawings, sketches, the
plastic works, which concern geography, topography, technology,
architecture and other spheres of activity;
the stage workings of the works, indicated in the point
of 1 this part, and processing the folklore
derived works;
the collections of works, the collections of workings of
folklore, encyclopedia and anthology, the collections of usual data,
other comprised works on condition that they are the result of
creative work after (by good of???), by coordination or by the
adjustment of the content without the disturbance of copyrights to the
works, which enter in them as component parts;
the texts of transfers for the duplicating, the
sonification, the subtitling by Ukrainian and other languages of
foreign audiovisual works;
